WE NEED RAIN

“For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater.”

I was talking with a man in my trailer park this morning and he said “We need rain”. This verse came to my mind and I thought about all the people who have emailed me in the last few weeks with heavy burdens and sad hearts. It hasn’t rained for a while where I live so the ground is dry and we can use some rain. The same is true with those who have heartaches and sorrows; they need the Love of Jesus to rain in their hearts.

We need to be encouraging the ones who are hurting, lonely, and desperate. We need to shower our loved ones and the world with the unconditional Love of Jesus just as He has commanded us to do. Sometimes the tunnel of despair seems so long and we can’t see the end, and sometimes it’s so dark we can’t even see the tunnel.

All of us need each other and all of us need to be honest about it. I received an email recently from someone who said that Jesus was sometimes unhappy with her. O dear friends, Jesus is sometimes unhappy with all of us. All of us fail Him. None of us are perfect, but we are to press forward and allow Jesus to strengthen us and lift us up when we fail Him.

If your heart is heavy today and the tunnel is dark and long, cry out to Jesus. He is Faithful and will take the darkness away. He uses us to help lift the burdens from our loved ones. Let’s be about the Master’s Business of encouraging hearts
