You CAN Know If You Are Going To Heaven

I John 5:13

"These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God."

Heaven is a FREE GIFT from God to all who repent and come to Christ in faith, trusting ONLY in Him. -- Romans 6:23

"For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." -- Romans 10:13

"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." -- II Peter 3:9

"The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance."

Heaven is not earned nor deserved, nor can it be so because of what we all are -- sinners, by choice and by inheritance as well. Romans 3:10-12

"As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one." -- Romans 3:23

"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God."

We cannot save ourselves nor get to heaven by good works - Salvation is ONLY by grace through faith! -- Ephesians 2:8 and 9

"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast."

Titus 3:5 -- "Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy He saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost."

But God loves us and does not desire that any should perish. -- John 3:16 -- "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

God is both holy and just and must punish sin. He cannot tolerate or ignore sin. It MUST be paid for.

Exodus 34:7 -- "Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children's children, unto the third and to the fourth generation.

I Peter 1:16 -- "Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy."

But God sent His Son, Jesus Christ to pay the price of our sins by His death, as OUR substitute.

Jesus did not stay dead, but rose from the dead and went back to heaven to prepare a place for all who accept His FREE gift of salvation.

Isaiah 53:6 -- "All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all."

I Peter 2:24 -- "Who His own self bare our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed."

God's free gift of salvation can only be received by Grace Through Faith. Faith is trusting in Jesus Christ alone for salvation. This is not just knowing the facts, but actually believing it. We must realize that we are sinners and can't earn salvation. John 1:12 -- "But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name."
