* The terrorists destroyed airliners, vehicles, businesses, and high buildings. But, out of the ashes, America stands tall.
* They killed thousands of people. But they couldn't kill a single person's soul.
Matthew 10:28 -- "And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell."
* Their evil actions started fires of destruction; but successfully inflamed American hearts, with power, to be strong.
* They hoped to weaken and divide America. But our country is united above all.
* They committed atrocities against humanity and against God. But now they face the Judgment.
Revelation 20:11 -- "And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them."
Revelation 20:12 -- "And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works."
Revelation 20:13 -- "And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works."
Revelation 20:14 -- "And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death."
Revelation 20:15 -- "And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire."
Together, we shed tears and open our hearts to each other in grief. Together, we see our own vulnerability and recognize our need for God.
For we know that only God is in control over impossible circumstances like these. We've been stopped in our tracks by this tragedy in New York City, on September 11, 2001.
But if there is any good to come out of this tragedy (see Romans 8:28), it is that we each must face our own eternity ahead. Because of this, we know we need -- somehow -- to be reunited with our Creator God. Only by faith in Him can we also have better relationships with other people, in a positive way, in this life.
As for our country, it will remain as strong as our faith in God. So long as we keep God in our hearts, and over our great nation; America will stay united and strong. This is the key for our country to remain free and without tyranny! And so we pledge that America is still "One Nation, Under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."
God sent His Only Begotten Son, that our hearts may be healed, and know true peace. And we CAN have peace, even in these end times; though people tremble because, in our world, are "wars and rumours of wars."
Matthew 24:6 -- "And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet."
Matthew 24:7 -- "For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places."
Matthew 24:8 -- "All these are the beginning of sorrows."
You may ask, How can I have true peace? How can I be right with God?
It's not difficult to do. Signs of the present day indicate our time is short. The Bible says that Jesus Christ will soon come to claim His people.
I Thessalonians 4:16 -- "For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:"
I Thessalonians 4:17 -- "Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord."
I Thessalonians 4:18 -- "Wherefore comfort one another with these words."
Once you have truly repented of (turned away from) your sins, your most important next step is to pray to God; asking His Son, Jesus Christ, to come into your heart and forgive you. He will save you from your sins, once and forever. Once you have accepted Christ, "with all of your heart," you can be assured you will have everlasting life in heaven, whenever your earthly life comes to an end.
John 3:16 -- "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
John 3:17 -- "For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved."
John 3:18 -- "He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God."
